Victor Boadu DNP, CNP, PMHNP-BC
I am a doctorally prepared board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC), in a private practice in Worcester County. I work specifically with adults and specializes in treating several psychiatric disorders involving People with Developmental and Intellectual Disabilities, People with Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) and the community as a whole. I seek to help you lead a more meaningful life by working with you to develop and achieve your mental health goals. I provide psychiatric evaluation and diagnosis, medication management and limited psychotherapy services. The work I do is similar to that of a psychiatrist, except that I approach mental health from a nursing perspective. I practice evidenced-based principles of person-centered care approach to psychiatric treatment. Mental health involves supportive environment, psychological, medical, cultural, and spiritual elements. For this reason, I listen attentively to your concerns and what you view as success in your care. I am a strong advocate for supported decision making as a paradigm, person centered planning and positive behavior support. My advocacy work is focused on assisting clients with communicating their needs and wants as they see fit for their wellness overall.
